Decide What Home You Want
- What type of home do you want? Single family, condominium or townhome are some of the more popular types. There are advantages and disadvantages to each type of home. If you are unfamiliar with the types of homes, learn more online.
- What size home do you want (need)?
- How much home can you afford? If you are not sure, I can help you with that process or you can consult with a mortgage company or your bank for more information. Some on-line resources are available to you as well
Get Familiar with the Austin Real Estate Market
Evaluate what is available. Once you have some basic knowledge of your home needs, you can use my free Austin area property search covering all the properties in the Austin, Round Rock, and surrounding areas. You can map each property to see where it is located and get more details about each property. Once you have a feel for what is available and at what price, you can perform advanced searches by clicking on the "More Features" button to investigate particular features of interest. This can help you rank the properties based on the features that are most important to you.
